GUEST'S COMMENTS
We've had an excellent week in Braemar and Broom Cottage. First, the cottage is excellently equipped and well appointed - a home from home. Secondly, the weather has been a blessing for October! Activities have ranged from good walks to 4x4 driving, clay pigeon shooting & go-karting (Deeside Activity Centre), wildlife park and falconry (Kingussie Highland Wildlife Park). Braemar and the people have been splendid and generous hosts - we'll be back!
Wilson family (4) - October '09Our families collected here and at various B&B's around the village. We had a great stay in the cottage, everything was absolutely brilliant and we loved every minute of it. Braemar was the village in grew up in before emigrating to New Zealand, so it always means home to me. We got married at Braemar castle and had a wonderful day!
Raven (2) and Violich (7) families, New Zealand and Gosport - August '09During our week long stay here, not one of our days has been anything but fantastic. We are only sad today realising that we must leave soon. The cottage has been a lovely home from home and we have loved Braemar and all the adventures we accomplished as a family. Walks, bike rides, castles, whisky tasting, and a mountain safari with Neil was the icing on the cake. We have fallen in love with the highlands and my father's dream to bring the family back to find their heritage has left memories that will deepen with time and enrich our children's lives.
Strachan-Kourkounakis family (8), Ontario, Canada - August '09Great holiday as usual, hope to return in 2010.
Drummond family (3), Gairloch - August '09Spent an excellent week hill walking, climbed 8 Munros during the week. Cottage excellent, great food at the Gathering Place Bistro.
Custance party (3), Kinlochleven - July '09A scorching week in Braemar! Kids had a great time feeding the wildlife, whilst mum and dad managed a few cycle trips around and about, plus a long day up Mount Keen. All in all another great week in a brilliant house!
Sutherland family (4), Dunfermline - June '09This was our 3rd time here at the cottage and we had a great time as usual. We did walks - forest and mountains - saw castles, visited friends and lazed about. I'm sure we'll be back.
Balder and Willis family (4), Somerset - May '09Yet another load of folks doing Munros. Thank you for the cottage - excellent and perfect for our requirement to collapse in comfort post-hills. We may return, after all, CairnToul still awaits!
Roberts' family (3) and friends (2), Dumfries - May '09This is a wonderful house for a walking holiday - the drying room is excellent (and essential !) and an outside tap for washing muddy boots & gaiters makes life very pleasant. It's such a peaceful place too. We managed 11 new Munros whilst we were here; the summits of 8 allowing perfect views of the insides of various sorts of moutain cloud and mist, the other 3 offering magificent panorama of the Cairngorm plateau. The welcome bottle of wine was celebrated on Lochnagar and the shortbread revived us on Ben Macdui.
Dallal family (2), Wynyard - April '09We came to Braemar because 2 of our friends were completing their final 4 Munros. They successfully achieved this and to be here to celebrate this was wonderful - the bonus was the fantastic cottage, it's location, peaceful setting, the wildlife and village were superb. We all enjoyed our stay and would return again.
Russel family (2) and friends (4), Lancashire - April '09This is one of the most beautiful places we have been. The people in the village were very friendly and helpful. The spring flowers peeping up in the garden were spectacular. We can't wait to return to Texas and tell our students and family about Scotland.

Kindness family (8), Aberdeenshire - October '08What a wonderful cottage! Just like being in our own home. Loved the people but highly recommend that you see Sue at the Inver Hotel on the way to Braemar and have a great bar meal - tell her the Yanks sent you! A true highlight of our trip was spending time locally meeting the kind folks of Braemar and Crathie. We hope to visit your lovely land again, for now it's off to yell 'FREEDOM' in Stirling!
Fields family (6), California - October '08Great cottage! We enjoyed our stay very much. Did several walks and saw hundreds of red deer, many grouse, hares, ducks, squirrels and roe deer.
